So....what's your response?
So, what IS your response to a church plant out of our church with Brent leading. It kinda took me by surprise initially, and I have had very mixed feelings. But the more I think about it, the more excited I am, whether we are called to go or to stay! God has a lot for all of us to learn! I'm just really looking forward to that!

I actually just found your blog!! I was seeing if anyone else posted about tonights meeting yet, and found yours. I posted as well...How amazing God is!!
Even though we are experiencing a wide range of emotions too, we are also very excited and anticipating more of what God is going to do!
I am so glad Mickey said it's normal to experience mixed feelings.

Of course, when I found out who was going, my initial response was "No, not them!" But it's all for the glory of God and the furtherance of His kingdom, and that is exciting. Another of my first thoughts was "I can't believe the Mulligans are giving up that beautiful house." But then I thought "that just goes to show you where their hearts are." Their hearts and their treasure are in heaven, not the things of this world. Praise God! And it's funny how the Lord works, isn't it? Just when you start feeling comfortable with how things are, He stirs up the pot. More opportunities to trust Him and grow - not just for those who are being sent, but also for those who are staying. Life with the Lord is quite an adventure!
My first thoughts went back to 1991 when my family made the move to come to Charlotte for the church plant and how exciting it was for me. I was only 7 at the time and was probably not aware of all the work that was going into the mission. Though we don't believe that we're being called to this church plant, I'm excited to see what other plants come in the future and how the Lord will use this church which so many have put their lives into to spread the gospel in other areas. Like Marge just said, what an adventure!
We are xcited to see what the Lord is up to! We are considering going so are in prayer and faith!
